Israel has warned Hamas of its "last chance" to strike a deal for the release of the hostages in exchange for a temporary ceasefire in Gaza. Israeli officials said that if the terror group does not agree to the latest terms of a truce, the long-planned invasion of Rafah by the IDF will begin "very soon." The war began on Oct. 7 when Hamas attacked Israel, killing an estimated 1,200 people and taking more than 200 hostages. Nearly seven months later, more than 100 of the hostages remain in captivity in Gaza with some reports indicating Israeli intelligence believes they are being used as "human shields" by Hamas' Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar, who is thought to be hiding in Rafah.
