Kyiv barista Maria Yevstafieva narrowly escaped from major injuries or possibly death Monday when the window of the cafe she was working in blew toward her after a Russian missile strike hit nearby. The window frame fell above her and glass debris shattered over her head just as she rushed down to take cover under the counter at the precise moment the wave from the explosion pushed the window inward. A few hours after the Russian missile attack, Yevstafieva served customers, saying she only sustained minor injury in her hand.
