Two ex-sheriff's deputies in Mississippi have been sentenced for their part in the racially charged assault of two Black men. Hunter Elward and Jeffrey Middleton, members of the self-proclaimed "Goon Squad," received sentences of approximately 20 years and 17.5 years, respectively, for their part.
