FOX 17 News has obtained audio recordings from the small plane that crashed Monday night off I-40 in West Nashville, killing all five people onboard. It happened three miles from John C. Tune Airport. Investigators say the control tower at the airport received a message from an aircraft saying it was experiencing engine and power failure and needed emergency approval to land. But the pilot soon radioed it was not going to make it.
