Officials and locals alike in Truckee Wednesday encouraged would-be visitors to town to pick another time ahead of a forecasted, strong winter storm this weekend. “This is going to be one of those storms that if you don’t absolutely have to come up the hill, do not come up the hill,” said Officer Jason Lyman, of California Highway Patrol Gold Run.
