Officials say the body of a Tennessee deputy who went missing after making an arrest and the body of a woman have been found. They were found in a river hours after his patrol vehicle was pulled from the water. Meigs County Chief Deputy Brian Malone told us that crews recovered the body of Deputy Robert “RJ” Leonard from the Tennessee River on Thursday evening. Officials said a body in the back seat of his vehicle is believed to be the woman he arrested Wednesday night. Leonard radioed in that he had made an arrest near a bridge and was headed for the jail. Minutes later, dispatchers received a garbled transmission and then silence.
