Executives from Meta, TikTok, X, Snap and Discord faced tough questioning about their efforts to combat online sexual abuse. Members of the Senate Judiciary Committee said the companies haven't done enough to keep children safe, with chairman Dick Durbin saying "online child sexual exploitation is a crisis in America." Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized to parents at the hearing.
