Several people were sent to area hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge prompted the closure of all three westbound traffic lanes. The conditions of the victims were not immediately known. Anne Arundel County police said motorists should anticipate heavy delays in Annapolis and Kent Island for an extended period of time. Eastbound and westbound traffic is currently alternating on the eastbound span.
