A California State Parks officer shot and killed a knife-wielding person after a chase ended in a crash Friday morning, officials said. The officer tried pulling over a vehicle in connection with a carjacking in Tahoe City around 10 a.m., according to a release from the California Department of Parks and Recreation. The vehicle did not pull over, prompting a pursuit.
