Whoever stole nearly all the copies of the Ouray newspaper - with the story about the police chief's stepson being arrested for rape - it backfired badly. The story was shared here and all over the place - and now the small town newspaper said the thief has confessed. The Ouray County Plaindealer said that person returned more than 200 editions of their paper stolen from newsstands yesterday. The newspaper had already printed another run – and delivered them around town. The Ouray Sheriff's Office said the suspect will be cited. That person was not named. They said the suspect is not a "member or relative of local law enforcement" or associated with the sexual assault suspects.
