Palestinians in southern Gaza queued up at a charity kitchen on Tuesday, hoping to get hot meals to feed their children, as Israel continued its offensive in most of the territory. Volunteers in Rafah were busy distributing meals that consisted of lentils and pasta. More than 100 days into Israel's assault on the Palestinian enclave, some families said what was being distributed was simply not enough to feed their entire family. “This is not enough. It is barely enough for two people. This needs to feed seven people,” said Mohammed Al-Shondogli, a displaced Palestinian from Jabalia. A U.N.-backed report in December said all of Gaza's 2.3 million people faced crisis levels of hunger, with the risk of famine increasing every day and the proportion of the population facing acute food insecurity rising to the highest ever recorded globally. #Gaza #Israel #reels #videography #voanews https://www.voanews.com/a/israel-strikes-gaza-after-defense-minister-says-intensive-phase-of-war-with-hamas-will-soon-end-/7441625.html » Subscribe to VOA News: https://bit.ly/3KIPysi » Watch more VOA News video: https://www.youtube.com/c/VOANews Voice of America (VOA) is the largest U.S. international broadcaster, providing news and information in more than 40 languages to an estimated weekly audience of 236.8 million people.
