Accused serial killer Rex Heuermann will appear in court Tuesday as prosecutors are expected to announce another murder charge against him in the Gilgo Beach killings. Heuermann, the prime suspect in the Gilgo Beach slayings, is expected to face another murder charge, a source told NBC legal corresponded Laura Jarrett. The 60-year-old is already charged with killing three women: Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman and Amber Lynn Costello, whose bodies were found near a remote stretch of Gilgo Beach on Long Island, over a decade ago. Authorities also linked Heuermann to a fourth woman when he was arrested last year but prosecutors didn't charge him at the time. Heuermann pleaded not guilty to all of the charges but prosectors say DNA evidence can play a critical role in solving the case. #GilgoBeach #News #Murder =================== WCNC Charlotte considers multiple perspectives and provides diverse points of view.
