Members of the Danish Royal Lifeguards performed their routine changing of the guard ceremony at Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace Saturday, the day before Queen Margrethe II formally abdicates. Dressed in bearskin hats and marching with a band, the guards performed the ceremony before crowds of visitors in the palace courtyard. They are expected to change guards again Sunday, before the formal announcement of the abdication.
