Holden LeCroy: Warm front brought patchy showers today, but more persistent rain is expected for Friday and Saturday as our next storm approaches. High surf is expected to continue along the coast as the storm and king tides coincide with each other through the weekend. Breaking wave heights between 20 and 25-feet. Rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain through Saturday. It has been a rainy past couple of months, but snow levels have been high which has led to rain in areas that typically don't see it this time of year. That is expected to change now as multiple weather models output our first Arctic outbreak of the season by January 6 from a negatively tilted trough, ensuring both cold air and moisture for that week. Stay tuned for changes over the coming days.
