Officials responded to a five-alarm fire in the SouthPark Mall area of south Charlotte Thursday. The Charlotte Fire Department responded a blaze that began around 10 a.m. at a parking garage construction area near Liberty Row Drive. The flames spread to a two-building apartment complex that's under construction.
