Five women were shot Wednesday in Midtown Atlanta when a gunman opened fire inside a waiting room at a medical building. In an update provided Thursday by officials at Grady Hospital, where the victims were taken, they said two of the women with the most serious injuries who had undergone surgery were still in critical condition and in the ICU. Those two will require follow-up operations Thursday. A third victim who had undergone surgery and was in the ICU is now in stable condition and may leave the ICU on Thursday, officials said.
