Inmates Found at IHOP After Using Toothbrush to Escape Jail

A toothbrush and a metal object were all two inmates from Newport News Jail Annex in Virginia needed to escape the facility, police say. Staff realized John M. Garza and Arley V. Nemo were missing from their cells while doing a routine headcount. Officers were tipped off, and the suspects were found hours later eating at an IHOP. Police say the two suspects carved their way out by exploiting a construction design weakness of the minimum security facility. Inside Edition Digital has more.
