Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was joined by national security spokesman John Kirby for a briefing Monday following the release of an American held hostage for more than six years in West Africa. Aid worker Jeff Woodke was taken from his home in Abalak, Niger, by a terrorist network in 2016.
