The body of a 19-year-old former schoolmate of Alex Murdaugh's son Buster is being exhumed. The victim, Stephen Smith, died under mysterious circumstances in 2015. Smith's body was found on a rural road in South Carolina 15 minutes from the Murdaugh family hunting lodge, where Maggie Murdaugh and her son Paul were murdered. Smith's death was ruled a hit-and-run, although none of his injuries indicated that he was hit by a vehicle.
