The rain will hang around off and on through the day today but clear out for Friday night and for the first day of the Forsythia Festival on Saturday. So far, we could see a decent first half of Sunday, then storms move in to finish the day. Parts of central Georgia are included in a level 2 severe weather risk for Sunday. Primary threats include large hail and damaging winds. The time change happens this Sunday at 2 AM. Remember, this doesn't mean we gain an hour of daylight. Rather, only the sunrise and sunset times shift an hour later from what we're used to. In fact, we only gain about 2 minutes of daylight from Saturday to Sunday. After Sunday and Monday's rain work through the area, we turn much cooler. A few spots will struggle to get out of the 50s on Tuesday with overnight lows flirting with freezing Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Back to 70s by Thursday.
