Warm start the work week with rain to finish | Central Georgia Forecast

The first half of this upcoming week will be great with plenty of sun to go around, and it's all thanks to a high pressure system and a weak cold front. Those systems will be the dominant factor in our forecast by providing warm and partly cloudy conditions to start the work week. As the high pressure system continues to slide to the east, our winds will change direction. By Monday, we'll have a more easterly breeze -- or what we call a sea breeze -- that will pull in more moisture. That moisture could fuel an isolated shower Monday, but our rain chances remain low. Temperatures will drop back to average during the mid-week because there will be a weak cold front pushing through our area. The air behind that front will be cooler but still nice with highs in the 60s and 70s. Our next big system will roll through Friday, bringing widespread rain chances throughout the day. We look to dry out for a moment on Saturday before rain and the possibility of storms on Sunday. 13WMAZ News is the #1 station for news and weather in the Central Georgia area, serving people in Dublin, Macon, Milledgeville and Warner Robins.
