Maryland Gov. Wes Moore got to work Thursday on his first full day in office, quickly addressing several policy issues. Less than 24 hours after he was sworn in, Maryland's 63rd governor was nearly halfway through an agenda packed with sit-down interviews, photo opportunities and announcements to show what a Moore administration is all about. The governor announced he's releasing $69 million in previously withheld state funding to pay for key programs. The funds were authorized by the General Assembly last year, according to the governor's office, which said $9 million will support the Climate Solutions Now Act, $10 million will support paid family and medical leave, $46.5 million will support cannabis reform and $3.5 million will support access to abortion care.
