Greta Thunberg Detained at Coal Mine Protest in Germany

Famous climate activist Greta Thunberg joined a protest to stop the expansion of a coal mine in Germany. For more than two years the city of Lüzerath has been occupied by activists who moved into the abandoned town after residents were relocated to make way for the mine project. The German government sent police in to evict hundreds of people. Thunberg joined the protest to try to hold the line against the demolition of the town.
