The House of Representatives voted to adjourn until 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday after failing to elect a new speaker following six rounds of voting in two days. GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy fell shorting of winning the majority on all six ballots. The sixth round of voting ended with Democratic Rep. Jeffries earning 212 votes, McCarthy receiving 201 votes and GOP Rep. Byron Donalds getting 20 votes. Rep.
