The parents of Madalina Cojocari, the missing 11-year-old girl from Cornelius, North Carolina, were scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday, the first court appearance for both of them since Dec. 20. The two were expected to appear in court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. however around 2 p.m., the judge announced there would not be a bond hearing for Madalina's mother, Diana Cojocari, but that she did surrender her passport. Closer to 3 p.m., the judge said the state would take no action on the bond but added a condition that Madalina's stepfather Christopher Palmiter must surrender his passport, too.
