Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin explains how we may benefit from Tropical Storm Nicole. Subtropical Storm Nicole has formed and will head toward Florida this week. The system will gain strength as it nears Florida on Thursday. The storm will then start to turn north by the end of the week thanks to an approaching trough. It will then head toward the Carolinas. The system will be large, so coastal erosion and waves will be a big threat for the east coast of Florida and up through Georgia and the Carolinas. Much of the Pensacola will see rain from Nicole, and the system could strengthen into a hurricane.
