The United Kingdom makes history with its first prime minister of color. Rishi Sunak has been elected leader of the Conservative Party and will move into 10 Downing Street with his family. Forty-two-year-old Sunak was born in England to parents who immigrated to the U.K. from Africa, and are of Indian descent. Sunak’s Hindu faith is also a first for a person in the U.K. government’s top job. He swore his oath to Parliament on a copy of the Bhagavad Gita.
