Steve Bannon, a former adviser to former President Trump, has been sentenced to four months in prison and fined $6,500 for contempt of Congress charges after he declined to hand over documents and appear before the January 6 committee. The judge stayed his sentence as Bannon and his lawyers intend to appeal the ruling.
