After only 6 weeks on the job, Liz Truss, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has resigned. Truss became Prime Minister following the resignation of Boris Johnson. Her short tenure was rocked with controversy over tax cuts and financial turmoil, as the British Pound dropped to its lowest value against the U.S. Dollar in almost 40 years. Truss says a leadership election should take place by the end of the week.
