L.A. considers adding 'mansion tax' to support homeless crisis
The City of Los Angeles is considering a measure that will add an additional 4% one-time sales tax on commercial buildings and residences that sell for more than $5 million. Voters will decide on the ballot proposition in the November election, which could pass with a simple majority. So far, both Mayoral candidates Rick Caruso and Karen Bass say they do not support the measure. This segment aired Friday, September 30, 2022.
