Police are honoring one of their own, coming to a memorial vehicle on September 23 outside the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Deputy Michael Hartwick was killed late in the night of September 22 when a highway construction worker driving a front end loader hit hit Hartwick as the deputy kept watch over an I-275 construction site. Hartwick died instantly.
