Tropical update: Hurricane Fiona intensifies; tracking TD Eight and Invest 98L We're monitoring several different areas in the tropics including a wave, called Invest 98L, that may signal high interest for the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. If anything were to come from Invest 98L we'd have 8 to 10 days to monitor its evolution and identify model trends. Hurricane Fiona has developed into a major Category 3 hurricane.
