Firefighters are trying to make progress on containment of the Mosquito Fire, burning in Placer and El Dorado counties. The fire sparked last Tuesday near the Oxbow Reservoir and has since forced more than 11,000 people to evacuate their homes. The first update from officials that showed any containment came on Sunday, putting it at 10% contained.
