Scattered downpours have continued to plague portions of the Carolinas, including the Charlotte area today. While it hasn't rained for the entire day, many folks have had their Labor Day plans impacted by the rain and storms. In fact, isolated spots have picked up 2 - 3 inches of rain, which has led to minor flooding. Across the piedmont, showers should diminish slightly as sunset approaches. While it won't be completely dry, rain shouldn't be as widespread as this afternoon. However, the mountains and foothills will likely see more rain move in this evening and even possibly overnight. That'll keep in a risk for flash flooding for Ashe, Watauga, Avery, Caldwell, Burke, and Alexander counties.
