One person was killed and several more injured at an outdoor music festival in eastern Spain in the early hours of Saturday when part of a temporary concert stage collapsed due to strong winds, Spanish authorities said. Emergency services in the Valencia region said that the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. local time when a "strong gust of wind" knocked off parts of the stage structure at the Medusa Festival. Emergency services said another 40 people needed to be taken to hospital, with three people suffering serious injuries. Organizers of the festival said they had ordered the concert grounds to be cleared when the winds began to blow strongly.
