DOJ Charges 4 Louisville Cops Over Breonna Taylor Shooting

The US Justice Department is charging four current and former Louisville police officers in connection to the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Black woman, during the execution of a search warrant in 2020. Three of the officers were accused of playing a role in securing the warrant to search her home when they knew they didn’t have the evidence to support it and taking steps to cover their tracks later. A fourth officer allegedly fired 10 shots into Taylor’s apartment when there was no justification for using deadly force.
