in Monday's tropical update, Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin highlights Hurricane Agatha and its potential impacts to the Atlantic basin. 2022 will mark the first time since 2014 that we did not have a preseason storm develop. However, we will likely see some type of development before the end of this week. We've been watching a storm in the East Pacific, Hurricane Agatha, as it moves inland over Mexico. It will dissipate over land, but the remnants and moisture will enter the southern Gulf or Caribbean. Models not in great agreement of what will then happen as far as development and track, however, with the upper ridge over the SE, the system will remain well to our south.
