Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has extended his lead in the Philippines presidential race with 61% of the votes counted, which could see him win the highest seat of power more than three decades after his dictator father was ousted. The former senator has 20.08 million votes, pulling further away from Leni Robredo who got 9.49 million ballots. This is a reversal of the vice-presidency race in 2016 when Robredo won by a slim margin.
