Jen Psaki on Thursday held a briefing after White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was announced as the new White House press secretary. Psaki will be leaving the White House on May 13. "She [Jean-Pierre] will be the first Black woman, the first LGBTQ+ person to serve in this role, which is amazing because representation matters," said Psaki, adding that Jean-Pierre "will give a voice to so many and allow and show so many what is truly possible when you work hard and dream big — and that matters. We should celebrate that." #News #KarineJeanPierre #WhiteHouse CBS News Streaming Network is the premier 24/7 anchored streaming news service from CBS News and Stations, available free to everyone with access to the Internet.
