Czech Republic's Prime Minister Petr Fiala said Ukrainians urgently need weapons to support their efforts to fight off the Russian invasion. Fiala spoke after visiting the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv together with his Polish and Slovenian counterparts on Tuesday to show support for Ukraine and meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. "Ukraine's primary need these days and weeks is for arms supplies," Fiala said on Wednesday at a Prague airport after arriving back from the trip. He said such equipment has to be delivered quickly by as many countries as possible and have to be "massive". "They have to lead that fight, and we have to put pressure on Russia by all means - sanctions, diplomatic means - so that Russia understands that aggression is not the way to go," he said. He added that even though NATO is not ready to enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine, something that Ukraine leaders have been asking for, Ukrainians would be able to enforce it by themselves" if they have enough weapons and anti-aircraft missiles."
