Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy told Russian soldiers to retreat, saying nearly 9,000 Russians have been killed in the past week since the invasion. Zelenskiy gave an upbeat assessment of the war in a video statement released early Thursday, and called on Ukrainians to keep up the resistance. He referred to those aged 19 and 20 as "confused children who have been used" and told them to "go home" with the entire Russian army. Russian President Vladimir Putin's forces claimed Wednesday to have taken complete control of Kherson, but Zelenskiy didn't comment on whether the Russians have seized several cities. Instead, he said he was convinced that "if they went somewhere, then temporarily." "We'll drive them out. With disgrace," he added.
