Last Weekend's Tsunami Advisory Triggers Flooding, Evacuations in Bay Area
On Saturday January 15, a major underwater volcanic eruption near Tonga triggered the most significant tsunami California has seen in a decade. The surges triggered beach closures, evacuations in Berkeley’s Marina and flooding at the Santa Cruz harbor over the previous weekend.
