China Locks Down City Of 13 Million After Outbreak As Part Of ‘Zero Covid’ Approach Before Olympics
Chinese authorities on Thursday imposed a lockdown on the northern city of Xi’an as the number of locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in the area continued to climb, a move that is a result of China’s stringent pursuit of ‘zero-Covid’ cases in the country just weeks before it is set to host the 2022 Winter Olympics in its capital.
