Afghans on Tuesday were hoping the Taliban could work on improving the economy in the country after the US withdrew its final troops and ended it's 20-year military presence in Afghanistan. In Kabul, residents voiced their concerns about the number of jobs that would be created following the Taliban's takeover of the nation. On Monday, the US carried out its final airlift and completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan. But the Taliban face what could be a series of major crises as they fully take over the government. The majority of the billions of dollars Afghanistan holds in foreign reserves is now frozen in America, pressuring its now-depreciating Afghani currency. Banks have implemented withdrawal controls, fearing runs on their deposits in the uncertainty.
