Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation on Tuesday, offering a full-throated defense of his behavior with women before saying he’s stepping down for the good of New Yorkers in the wake of the scathing state Attorney General report that accused him of sexual harassment. “I think that given the circumstances, the best way I can help now is if I step aside,” Cuomo said from his Manhattan office. After disputing the report’s findings and apologizing for some behavior that he insisted didn’t amount to sexual harassment, Cuomo said the wasted time and money from the impeachment process would hurt New Yorkers during a time of crisis. “This is one of the most challenging times for government in a generation,” said the outgoing governor. “Government really needs to function today, government needs to perform. It is a matter of life and death.” #AndrewCuomo #SexualHarassment #NewYork #NewYorkPost The New York Post is your source for breaking news, news about New York, sports, business, entertainment, opinion, real estate, culture, fashion, and more.
