US First Lady Jill Biden and the UK's Duchess of Cambridge visited a school in Cornwall on Friday, as leaders of the Group of Seven arrived for a summit. Biden and the former Kate Middleton met 4- and 5-year-olds at Connor Downs Academy in Hayle, England. Biden is a longtime English teacher who focuses on education, as does Kate, a mother of three young children. The pair are also scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion on early childhood education, according to White House officials. The first lady is travelling with her husband, President Joe Biden, who is attending a G-7 summit of the world’s largest economies opening on Friday in Carbis Bay. Joe Biden is on his first overseas visit as president. Along with his participation in the G-7 summit and a NATO summit in Brussels, he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Bidens are also set to meet with Queen Elizabeth II on Sunday at Windsor Castle.
