May.16 -- Members of the United Nations Security Council, including the U.S. and China, have called on Israel and Hamas to immediately halt more than a week of deadly fighting. The death toll continued to climb on Sunday. More than 190 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed, and more than 1,000 have been injured.
