Law enforcement in Indianapolis have identified the eight people killed in Thursday's shooting at a FedEx facility.

The big picture: The Sikh Coalition said at least four of the eight victims were members of the Indianapolis Sikh community.

What we know: The Marion County Coroner’s Office and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department on Friday released the names of the victims. They include:

• Matthew Alexander, 32
• Samaria Blackwell, 19
• Amarjeet Johal, 66
• Kaur, 64
• Jaswinder Singh, 68
• Amarjit Sekhon, 48
• Karli Smith, 19
• John Weisert, 74.

Sekhon was the sole source of income for her two sons, and worked long hours because her husband was paralyzed from a disability from birth, a family member told The Washington Post.

Kaur was a grandmother, and her grandchildren called her Naniji, per WISH-TV. She missed her granddaughter's second birthday, which was on Saturday.

• Her family said she was 50 years old, the New York Times noted.

Singh had started working at the FedEx facility this week, working the night shift to sort mail. He never got his first check, per the Times.

Weisert was married to his wife, Carol, for almost 50 years, she told WISH-TV. She had hoped that they’d reach that milestone.

• Weisert's wife had urged him to retire and he had talked about potentially leaving the job next month or taking the summer off, according to the Times.

The suspected attacker, 19-year-old Brandon Hole, killed himself before police arrived at the scene, law enforcement said.
