Georgia State Representative Park Cannon was handcuffed and led out of the State Capitol Building in Atlanta on March 25, while demonstrating against the signing of a controversial elections bill. In video streamed live on Facebook, Rep. Park Cannon can be seen knocking on a door in the Capitol building during a protest against a law that would introduce restrictions on voting by mail and greater legislative control over how elections are run, according to reports. Capitol police can be seen handcuffing Rep. Cannon and leading her away with her hands behind her back. Opponents to the bill said it would disproportionately disenfranchise voters of color.
