Fauci Says U.K. Covid Variant Likely Accounts for Up to 30% of U.S. Cases
Dr. Anthony Fauci on Friday said the highly contagious U.K. coronavirus likely accounts for up to 30% of Covid cases in the United States. He made the remarks during a briefing of the White House Covid-19 Response Team. The variant, known as B.1.1.7, has been detected in 94 countries around the world and in 50 jurisdictions in the U.S., Fauci said.
